Privacy Notice

The Atrium Clinic and Therapy Centre (Atrium) is a confidential counselling and therapy service provider and we provide these services both on a private basis and under contract. Atrium takes privacy and confidentiality very seriously and this privacy notice informs you how we collect personal information in order for Atrium to provide a counselling and therapy service.

Personal information is held strictly in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. Atrium may at times modify, alter and update this privacy notice as necessary and an up to date policy will be available on our website

How we collect your information

Atrium collects your information when you make contact with us in person, via the telephone or through our website enquiry form.

What information we collect

The information that we collect will include your name, address, contact number(s), date of birth, GP, how you heard about Atrium and any appropriate health related information that you may want us to be aware of.

What we do with this information

This information is considered private and confidential and securely stored at our premises and complies with the NHS Records management Code of Practise for Health and Social Care 2016 retention period of 8 years for adults. Your information is not shared with any other person, without your consent. In order for Atrium to provide its services it will use your personal information for the purposes of keeping in contact with you regarding appointments and any information or services related to Atrium’s services that we feel that may be of use to you. This may take the form of telephone, email or post, as appropriate.

Access to your information

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information free of charge in either electronic or paper format. You also have the right to ask to amend or change any incorrect information about you.

Right to be forgotten and portability

You have the right to erase any information that is held about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes or if you wish to withdraw consent. In all cases and when considering such requests, these rights are obligatory unless it’s information that is held under a legal obligation. In addition you have the right to transfer your information to another organisation.
