Workplace Services

There are many reasons why addressing mental health in the workplace is important and beneficial.

There are legal requirements and national guidance around an employers obligations.

Research has shown a financial return on investment of between £4 and £9 per pound invested in products such as mental health training and development.

Organisations which create a supportive open culture around mental health see a significant difference in their employees ability to thrive and how they feel.

Poor mental health leads to loss of productivity, absenteeism, presenteeism, staff turnover and conflict. Each of these will result in a financial impact on the business

The great news is that evidence shows the negative impact of poor mental health in the workplace can be reduced, and indeed prevented. At Atrium we provide the tools to achieve just that. The outcomes of positive action are felt by the employee, the employer, and thus the economy as a whole.

Here at Atrium we know that people have started to take action around workplace mental health. We can see that conversation about mental health has started to change and stigma is being removed, but we want to do more.

We want to reframe the conversation away from mental ill-health, to what we call “Capacity”.  What do we mean by this? The capacity to handle challenging situations, the capacity to manage conflict, the capacity to be more resilient, the capacity to form better relationships, the capacity to have a better work-life balance.
